Cross-Cultural Communication in the Teaching Process at SDN 18 Parhorasan in Samosir

This research examines cross-cultural communication between teachers and students who could not speak English well at SDN 18 Parhorasan in Samosir. There were 17 participants, grade five elementary school. The had different social backgrounds so found speaking difficult. They used to using their Batak dialect when they tried English. pronunciation seemed be a joke for them. researchers investigated the cultural language barriers among learn class. was conducted descriptive qualitative method. findings highlighted expression, intonations sentences. 50% of language.
